Hi there. Thanks for stopping by into my little corner of the interweb 🙂 Seriously, thank you!

My name’s Rebecca, but most people who know me call me Becky. Born and brought up in the suburbs of Mumbai, I spent most of my time in the kitchen, watching my mum create masterpiece after masterpiece. The lady can work magic – what can I say, it’s in my blood – and if you’ve witnessed her, you’ll know I’m not exaggerating!

Even while pursuing a career in Digital Marketing, I learned pretty quickly what a little flour, butter, sugar, and eggs could create. Add some chocolate, and you’ve got yourself a happy ending right there.

One day, during what had come to be my usual rant about work over dinner, my wonderfully wise husband (he’s gonna get a kick out of that) asked me – “If you woke up one day and had absolutely everything your heart desired, what would you do?”

Of course, I knew at once what I’d do. It’s what everybody I know and love would say I’d do. My answer is what spurred my decision to start this blog.

What would I do?

I’d bake.

So here we are! This blog will be filled with the things I love. I came up with the name “That Baker Girl” because for as long as I can remember, that’s what anyone who couldn’t recollect my name used when talking about me.  And although it might suggest a food blog, I’m hoping to eventually evolve it to all things me 🙂
